I think places like Northern Tool sell 3ph gadgets that accept standard trailer receivers. To use one, you should ensure that the tongue weight remains less than the 3ph capacity and never goes negative.

A negative tongue weight such as might happen when braking going hill or with a weight shift will simply raise the 3ph and may break it unless the lift distance is limited. I think most of the 3ph receiver gadgets sold do have a chain to limit the distance a 3ph can raise.

You also should be aware that tractor brakes are really parking brakes and aren't that good at stopping with a load. Diesel engines have little engine braking, but HST does provide some braking. Since tractors are much better at pulling than at stopping, there's a chance that a tractor can get a load rolling easily but may not be able to stop it going down a hill.

You may also want to check ebay and do a search on "Trailer Mover". They have some interesting ideas for attaching trailers to a 3-point hitch system.

The 26 is what you need. I would buy it locally if at all possible. No sense in paying UPS rates for an extra 15 pounds. The drawbar probably weighs as much as the rest of the unit. ....

The BXs have a somewhat non std lift arm distance, approx 25in. Wasn't sure if the 26in drawbar would work. Some said yes, some said no. I suspect it would, but I fabricated my own 2in box hitch adapter anyway. Link with pic below. ....

Spreading the lower link arms and measuring the distance between them might be a check if there's doubt a 26" would fit.

I haven't thought it through but I think that you'd want to snug up the 3ph chains so there wouldn't be much play for heavy loads to jolt the chain mounts at the cases. ....

The pins on my rear blade are 34 inches and the BX will handle that.

Smaller is better on this machine. Spreading the arms wider pulls them closer to the rear tires.
